A working drum is one of my personal sacred drums that is given to people to hold as we work and journey. When i work with people, it always with many of my working drums attending.
This page presents my drums for you to see and feel.
The Drum Above is my first - Freyja.
Rainbow Goddess is a Spirit from the Southwest and is one of Protection. She is very strong, wise, fierce and caring. And.. she loves Brownies and blue berries as an offering anytime.
The Buddha drum is one of the first with artwork (I paid for this work). Surrounding the drum rim is The Hundred-Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva in Sanskrit. Vajrasattva’s mantra is a powerful purification prayer that invokes the mind streams of all the Buddhas. I have met his energy in past breath work as well during healing work. He is one to talk with folks when asked.
The artwork is an honor to a Spirit named Scott who created this based on his time spent in Alaska. He passed in 1998.
This drum was drawn by Rusty Harden, who when sitting with a drum, sees and hears the Spirits linked and what they want placed on the drum. She knew of how the Black Hills felt home to me won my 10/8/23 trip there to Chief Crazy Horse's Mountain. As she drew this artwork vision, Chief Sitting Bull sat with her and added his suggestions. I will also say that he was one of the first Spirits that presented to me just a week after Freyja was created. This is a powerful drum to hold.
If you look at the picture on the first page of this site, in the picture of me at the Crazy Horse Mountain, the drum that the tribal lady next to me is this drum. This powerful drums story came from a time when a friend of mine Wes, was at the 4 corners monument on a vision meditation trip. he placed the 4 corners frame on the ground and was drumming over it with the drum Journey and out of the crowd an Elder walked up and presented Wes with a sacred Flute. Then he knelt down and as he was saying a blessing over the drum frame he sprinkled sand over it as part of his blessing. Hence, this drum is named Four Corners.
My powwow drum has a beautiful voice and is only 20 inches in diameter and 12 inches tall. She has caught many looks from people and when she sings, many spirits join in. She has an Elk hide at her Spirit Guide.
This drum is one of the generation that now carries pipe stone clay along with the other spiritual links. She is powerful and carries the Spirits from the 6 sacred drums I created for a special family out west along with herself.
Journey has the honor of being the very first steam bent drum i made. the first person that held her was startled as the drum told her that her name was Journey and wow... can she ever help people. Journey was the drum Wes held and drummed over the 4 Corners frame on his vision trip.
This drum was gifted to me from a very good shaman friend a few years ago When the temperature an humidity is right, the deep voice is amazing. I am starting to bring her more into the work i do.
Story Stick is a powerful sacred flute. every bit as powerful as any of the working drums. She has journeyed many by simply being held by the person. She was made for me in a gift exchange with Paul, who i met at my first powwow, the Festival of the Rivers in Washington. He arrived in my booth with his Elder friends and played a prayer for the drums, the intent and my work on one of his sacred flutes that was a salmon. i made a Wakan Drum for him and he created Story Stick for me. Story Stick represents the Salmon People and many spiritual links of the PNW. I held a Welcoming ceremony up on the north beach in Anacortes.
This is a 18 inch 7 sided drum of the first generation of these drums. I had placed a hide on her that really tightened up and caused a bend that did not crack, so i pulled that off and now will put a new on one and she is now part of the working drum family. Even as she is now, anyone who holds her has a very interesting experience.
